Mar Ilimitado is a project led by two marine biologists, involving both tourism and marine research, in Sagres, Portugal (SW Europe). In order to promote an active community in the conservation of the ocean, it offers boat tours for dolphin and seabird watching, and supports diving activities as well. Their boats serve as platforms of opportunity for cllecting data on cetacean populations, as well as on other marine vertebrates. Whilst running own marine biology research projects, the team also supervises academic theses and internships, delivers courses and talks. It also gives support to research projects from partner institutions.
