The Science Communication Lab (SCICOM LAB) is a spin-off of the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts (2015) and specializes in digital visual communication especially for scientific research and its complex topics. For example, it develops interactive exhibits for museums and exhibitions, creates data visualizations and high-quality information design for comprehensible presentation.

In comparison to conventional media service providers, the team consists of designers, technical developers and scientists who jointly develop a solution that is relevant in terms of content and scientifically correct and combine it with a high level of design and visualization competence.

The innovation of SCICOM LAB is to produce interactive scientific posters based on the latest media technology. Numerous high-ranking awards such as the German Design Award in Gold 2016 and 2019 for the "Next Generation Scientific Poster" confirm the excellent design quality of SCICOM LAB.
